• ORDINANCE NO. 4407 AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of: 2 EVERGREEN WAY, from 100th Street (Airport Road) 3 northeasterly to a point approximately 3501m/1 southerly of the intersection of the centerline 4 of Evergreen Way and Casino Road, I 5 by widening the existing roadway 6.5 feet on each side with proper sub-base and asphaltic concrete pavement, including asphaltic con- s crete overlay of existing pavement; channelization in center to pro vide for two-way left turns, not including signalization; remove 7 and replace existing facilities where necessary; by the installatio of necessary drainage facilities and making all necessary adjust- 8 ments; by the construction or reconstruction where necessary of all sewers, side sewers, water mains and hydrants, with necessary appur 9 tenances; by such grading or regrading as may be necessary, and doing such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith 10 to make a complete improvement, all in accordance with plans prepared by the City Engineer as revised deleting signalization, 11 and in accordance with Resolution No. 7428 of the City of Everett, creating a Local Improvement District; creating a Local Improvement 12 District fund therefor; and providing for the payment of said im- provement by special assessments on the property in said district 13 under the mode of payment by bonds . WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 7428 of the City of Evereti , 14 the City Council has declared its intention to order the improve- ment15 as above outlined and doing all work in connection therewith to make a complete improvement in accordance with the plans and 16 specifications of the City Engineer as revised deleting signaliza- tion; and, 17 WHEREAS, hearing was held on said Resolution on the c 7" day of J vi-‘? , 1968, pursuant to notices required by law;and 18 WHEREAS, protests were received and considered; and, 19 WHEREAS, protests properly filed were insufficient to 20 divest the City of authority to proceed with the improvement, 21 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 22 Section 1: That an improvement be made of: 23 EVERGREEN WAY, from 100th Street (Airport Road) northeasterly to a point approximately 350 feet m/1 24 southerly of the intersection of the centerline of Evergreen Way and Casino Road, 25 by widening the existing roadway 6.5 feet on each side with proper sub-base and asphaltic concrete pavement, including asphaltic con- 26 crete overlay of existing pavement; channelization in center to pro 27 vide for two-way left turns, not including signalization; remove and replace existing facilities where necessary; by the installatio of necessary drainage facilities and making all necessary adjust- 28ments; by the construction or reconstruction where necessary of all 29 sewers, side sewers, water mains and hydrants, with necessary appur tenances; by such grading or regrading as may be necessary, and 30 doing such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith to make a complete improvement, all in accordance with plans prepared 31 by the City Engineer as revised deleting signalization, which plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved. 32 Section 2: The City of Everett shall pay out of the City arterial street fund seventy-five per cent (75%) of the final cost of the improvement.
