• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 4407 <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of: <br /> 2 <br /> EVERGREEN WAY, from 100th Street (Airport Road) <br /> 3 northeasterly to a point approximately 3501m/1 <br /> southerly of the intersection of the centerline <br /> 4 of Evergreen Way and Casino Road, <br /> I <br /> 5 by widening the existing roadway 6.5 feet on each side with proper <br /> sub-base and asphaltic concrete pavement, including asphaltic con- <br /> s crete overlay of existing pavement; channelization in center to pro <br /> vide for two-way left turns, not including signalization; remove <br /> 7 and replace existing facilities where necessary; by the installatio <br /> of necessary drainage facilities and making all necessary adjust- <br /> 8 ments; by the construction or reconstruction where necessary of all <br /> sewers, side sewers, water mains and hydrants, with necessary appur <br /> 9 tenances; by such grading or regrading as may be necessary, and <br /> doing such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith <br /> 10 to make a complete improvement, all in accordance with plans <br /> prepared by the City Engineer as revised deleting signalization, <br /> 11 and in accordance with Resolution No. 7428 of the City of Everett, <br /> creating a Local Improvement District; creating a Local Improvement <br /> 12 District fund therefor; and providing for the payment of said im- <br /> provement by special assessments on the property in said district <br /> 13 under the mode of payment by bonds . <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 7428 of the City of Evereti , <br /> 14 the City Council has declared its intention to order the improve- <br /> ment15 as above outlined and doing all work in connection therewith <br /> to make a complete improvement in accordance with the plans and <br /> 16 specifications of the City Engineer as revised deleting signaliza- <br /> tion; and, <br /> 17 WHEREAS, hearing was held on said Resolution on the <br /> c 7" day of J vi-‘? , 1968, pursuant to notices required by law;and <br /> 18 <br /> WHEREAS, protests were received and considered; and, <br /> 19 <br /> WHEREAS, protests properly filed were insufficient to <br /> 20 divest the City of authority to proceed with the improvement, <br /> 21 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 22 Section 1: That an improvement be made of: <br /> 23 EVERGREEN WAY, from 100th Street (Airport Road) <br /> northeasterly to a point approximately 350 feet m/1 <br /> 24 southerly of the intersection of the centerline <br /> of Evergreen Way and Casino Road, <br /> 25 by widening the existing roadway 6.5 feet on each side with proper <br /> sub-base and asphaltic concrete pavement, including asphaltic con- <br /> 26 crete overlay of existing pavement; channelization in center to pro <br /> 27 vide for two-way left turns, not including signalization; remove <br /> and replace existing facilities where necessary; by the installatio <br /> of necessary drainage facilities and making all necessary adjust- <br /> 28ments; by the construction or reconstruction where necessary of all <br /> 29 sewers, side sewers, water mains and hydrants, with necessary appur <br /> tenances; by such grading or regrading as may be necessary, and <br /> 30 doing such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith to <br /> make a complete improvement, all in accordance with plans prepared <br /> 31 by the City Engineer as revised deleting signalization, which plans <br /> and specifications are hereby adopted and approved. <br /> 32 Section 2: The City of Everett shall pay out of the <br /> City arterial street fund seventy-five per cent (75%) of the <br /> final cost of the improvement.
