• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2 D t <br /> AN ORDINANCE, regulating the errection, construction, <br /> enlargement, alteration, repair, demolishing, conversion, occupancy, <br /> equipment, use, height, area and maintenance of buildings and/or <br /> structures of the City of Everett: providing for the adoption as cne <br /> building code or ordinance of the City of Everett, the Uniform <br /> Building Code, 1967 Edition, of the International Conference of <br /> Building Officials, providing penalties for the violations thereof; <br /> and repealing Ordinance No. 3877 and all other ordinances and parts <br /> of ordinances in conflict therewith. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett now has on file in the <br /> office of the City Clerk at the City Hall and has had on file for <br /> sometime prior hereto for the consideration of the Building Depart- <br /> ment, City Engineers and other officials, and the public, three <br /> copies of the 1967 edition of the Uniform Building Code of the <br /> International Conference of Building Officials, and in compliance <br /> with the laws of the State of Washington (R.C.W. 35.21.180) , will <br /> maintain said copies on file in said office, together with such <br /> amendments and additions thereto as the same are passed by ordinance. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: The 1967 edition of the Uniform Building <br /> Code, as prepared by the International Conference of Building <br /> Officials, is hereby adopted as the building code and ordinance <br /> of the City of Everett and such code by reference is made hereby <br /> a part of this ordinance as though set forth fully at length herein; <br /> that three (3) copies of said code shall be left on file with the <br /> City Clerk of the City of Everett for use by the public and for <br /> reference. <br /> Section 2: That Ordinance No. 3877 and all other <br /> ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict therewith are hereby <br /> repealed; PROVIDED said Ordinance Nos. 3412 and 3877 which adopted the <br /> 1952 and 1961 editions, respectively, of the Uniform Building Code as <br /> prepared by the Pacific Coast Building Officials Conference, by <br /> reference, shall remain effective and shall govern all interpretations <br /> that may arise as to all permits issued by the Building Inspector or <br /> the Building Department of the City of Everett for construction and <br /> improvements commenced prior to the effective date of this ordinance, <br /> or for permits which were issued prior to the effective date of this <br /> ordinance and the provisions thereof shall be applicable to determine <br /> compliance with such permits and with said building code. <br /> MAYOR' <br /> Attest: <br /> -7 <br /> 4-4-1si Qr)14-?"XL:2 <br /> CI CLERKDEpUTy <br /> Passed <br /> Published 2_75, - J' <br />
