That Everett City Code Section 14. 16. 600 is hereby 6 amended to read as follows: 7 Construction water use for buildings. A. METERED. In the 8 case of water consumed during construction of a building or structure which, 9 upon completion, would be served through a metered connection, the amount 10 of water so consumed during construction shall be paid for by the contractor 11 or owner at the applicable metered rate. If a metered service is not installed 12 to the premises during the initial stage of construction, the amount of water 13 consumed between the commencement of construction and the installation and 14 turn on of the metered service shall be estimated by the superintendent and the 15 charge added to the cost for installation of the service connection, or added to 16 a subsequent water billing to the premises. 17 B. FIXED RATE. In the case of water consumed during con- 18 struction of a residence which, upon completion, would be eligible for a fixed 19 rate service, there shall be no charge other than the fixed rate charge, pro- 20 vided the service connection is installed and turned on during the initial stage 21 of construction. 22 Section 6. The monthly water rates and charges together 25 with monthly minimum charges, special charges and penalties prevailing 26 throughout the water system shall be as follows: 27 A. Within the city limits. 28 (1) Fixed rate $4 00 per unit 29 (2) Metered rate: 304.
