1 <br /> 2 ORDINANCE NO . 44 )- Z' <br /> 8 <br /> AN ORDINANCE relating to glue sniffing and providing <br /> 4 penalties therefor: <br /> 6 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 6 SECTION 1: That Title 6 of the Everett City Code <br /> is hereby amended by adding a section thereto which shall be <br /> 7 entitled "Glue Sniffing", and which shall be known as Chapter 6.66, <br /> and which shall read as follows : <br /> 8 <br /> SECTION 2. Unlawful Acts . It shall be unlawful to <br /> 9 intentionally smell or inhale the fumes from any glue, cement or <br /> other adhesive containing one or more of the following chemical <br /> 10 compounds: acetone, an acetate, benzene, butyl alcohol, ethyl <br /> alcohol, ethylene, dichloride, isopropyl alcohol, methyl alcohol, <br /> 11 methyl ethyl ketone, pentachlorophenol, petroleum ether or toluene, <br /> for the purpose of becoming intoxicated, inebriated, excited or <br /> 12 stupefied; provided, this section shall not be construed as applying <br /> to the inhalation of any anesthesia for medical or dental purposes . <br /> 13 (6.66.010) <br /> 14 SECTION ':3. Penalty. Any one convicted of violating <br /> this chapter shall be punished by a fine in a sum not to exceed <br /> 15 Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) or confinement in the city jail <br /> for a term not to exceed ninety (90) days, or by both such fine <br /> 16 and imprisonment.
