40 ORDINANCE NO. G- <br /> AN ORDINANCE submitting to the qualified electors of the <br /> City of Everett a proposition in the form of an ordinance <br /> directing the City Council of the City of Everett to re- <br /> quest the Game Department of the State of Washington and <br /> the Federal Power Commission of the United States to close <br /> Spada Reservoir to fishing, fixing date of election as <br /> NE_ - -, 1. C: , 1968, declaring an emergency <br /> to exist and requesting the County Auditor of Snohomish <br /> County and the County Couuuissioners of Snohomish Coufity <br /> to call a special election to be held on the :_25` / <br /> day of .,104,, , , / c 64' , 1968, and declaring an <br /> emergency to exist. <br /> WHEREAS, the Health Department of the State of Washington has advised <br /> the Commissioners of the City of Everett that fishing in Spada Reservoir <br /> is a potential hazard to public health; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has no control over the waters of Spada <br /> Reservoir; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Game Department of the State of Washington and the Federal <br /> Power Commission of the United States have exclusive jurisdiction over <br /> the waters located in Spada Reservoir and fishing thereon; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett believes that it is for the best interest <br /> of the City that Spada Reservoir be closed to fishing; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commissioners of the City of Everett desire to sub- <br /> mit the question of the closure of Spada Reservoir to fishing to the <br /> qualified electors of the City of Everett. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the following ordinance shall be submitted to the qualified <br /> electors of the City of Everett at a special election to be held on the <br /> . 2.5-r-.4 day of ,JL/,u ," , 1968 in the City of Everett: <br /> AN ORDINANCE directing the City Council of the City of Everett <br /> to request the Game Department of the State of Washington and <br /> the Federal Power Commission of the United States to close <br /> Spada Reservoir to fishing. <br /> Section 1: The City Council of the City of Everett is hereby <br /> directed to request the Game Department of the State of Washington <br /> and the Federal Power Commission of the United States to close <br /> Spada Reservoir to fishing. <br /> Section 2: That the County Auditor and the County Comutissioners of <br /> Snohomish County are hereby requested to call a special election to be <br /> held on the ,25—t-4 day of ,), ,,,,,i 1G„ , 1968, for the purpose <br /> of submitting the above ordinance to the qualified electors of the City <br /> of Everett. <br /> Section 3: That the form of ballot to be used in said election shall <br /> be as follows: <br />
