Hi Stephen!
To answer your questions about this project 1-11.
1. The tank is UL 142 Double Wall with 3 v3nts 12 ft above finish grade and a 5 gallon
fill/spill lockable fill box..
2. The pad is existing and supports the existing generator and fuel tank. The new tank
will have a bigger footprint and will disperse the weight even more. The generator will
be on one side of the tank in its original location and height. The tank will go beyond
the generator to the right side and rear.
3. The generator is existing and is 40 ft from the building on a concrete pad and 6 ft
concrete wall at the back. The generator sits on a pad with the Puget transformer at
5' away and dumpster on the other side at 15 ft away.
4. Once approved by your department we will obtain the electrical permit to disconnect
the generator and reconnect it as a like for like.
5. There are no limitations on filling with a supplied 5 gallon fill/spill bucket that is
lockable.
6. When install all placards 2015 IFC 5704.2.3.2 will be installed as required by local
codes as well.
7. Bollards are existing
8. There are no incompatible materials.
9. The tank is 2.5' tall so there are no platforms or steps and the tank is designed to
walk on the roof to get to the generator for service.
10. The tank has a lockable 5 gallon fill spill bucket which is the only access to the fuel.
11. We will contact Kevin for final inspection.
Thanks Stephen! We are anxious to get this project going. We won't have the tank
fabricated until we get these items approved by you.
Regards,
Don N.
