DRAFT <br /> SECTION 2 e SPECIFICATIONS <br /> 2.1 BACKGROUND <br /> The City of Everett is seeking a Box Screener for the Public Works Department.This equipment is intended <br /> to replace a current unit,which has reach the end of its service life-cycle. <br /> 2.2 UNIT FEATURES <br /> The following features are requirements for the awarded unit: <br /> A. Unit <br /> i. Constructed of high strength, high tensile steel <br /> ii. Self-propelled tracked unit <br /> a) Unit will be moved up to one hundred (100)feet at a time <br /> b) Wheeled units will not be considered <br /> iii. Most recent model year equipment desired. <br /> B. Radio Control Tracking <br /> i. Radio Control must be able to reach distance of at least twenty(20)feet <br /> C. Screen <br /> i. Must have two stage screening process <br /> a) Feed hopper must be minimum of 10'x 7' <br /> b) Second stage must be with 3"screen holes <br /> ii. Unit must come with ability to change screens to larger screen holes. <br /> iii. Loading range is up to 10'wide bucket with a maximum 12'feeding height <br /> D. Conveyor <br /> i. Single conveyor desired <br /> ii. 48" belt width desired. However, Belt must be minimum thirty-six(36) inches wide <br /> iii. Unit must be able to consistently process up to one hundred (100)yards of debris per day <br /> without jamming or malfunction <br /> E. Operation <br /> i. Minimum Seventy-five (75) horsepower diesel engine <br /> a) CAT branded engine preferred. <br /> ii. Unit must be able to stockpile debris to a minimum height of ten(10)feet <br /> 2.3 TESTING OF UNIT <br /> Interested suppliers must allow for one-week(5 business day) demonstration of prospective unit for <br /> testing by for city employees to ensure durability and ease of use or provide a current customer's active <br /> site who is using the proposed model equipment within a 50 mile radius of zip code 98201 to allow for <br /> City Of Everett to observe the unit in operation. <br /> If supplier chooses to provide a unit for demonstration,the cost of transportation will be the <br /> responsibility of the supplier.Testing of the unit will be composed of the following: <br /> 9 <br /> 16 <br />
