ii {f{ 1 ORDINANCE NO. 7 7 2 AN ORDINANCE declaring an emergency to exist and 3 allocating $2200.00 for the year 1968 for expenses of operation 4 of the Board of Freeholders, to wit: as attorney's fees . WHEREAS, at the time of the making of the budget for 51 the year 1968 it could not have been reasonably foreseen that it would be necessary to make allowances for expenditures for a 6 ; Board of Freeholders, and, 7WHEREAS, the voters did in November 1967 vote in favor of the establishment of the Board of Freeholders, and, 8a WHEREAS, the City Commissioners did by emergency reso- g lotion make allocation of expenditures for the Board of Freehold- ers allowing $1500.00 for attorney' s fees, and, 10 WHEREAS, it is reasonably necessary that such amount 11 ' be increased by $22.00 .00, 12 NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Everett does ordain: 13 '1 Section 1: That an emergency is hereby declared to exist and the sum off' $2200.00 is hereby allocated for the expen- 14 ditures of the Board of Freeholders for the year 1968 for attor- ney's fees in addition to that amount heretofore allocated. 15 Section 2: The expenditures above provided for shall 16 be paid froTil—Fii=re funds or by the issuance of emergency warrants; if emergency warrants are issued, they shall be paid 17 from any moneys on hand in the City Treasury in the fund properly chargeable for such expenditures; if there be not sufficient 18 ' funds, then by the issuance of emergency warrants which shall be registered, bearing interest and being called in the same 19 manner as other city warrants . 20 Section 3: All expenditures of the Board of Free- holders shall be certified to the City Clerk-Comptroller, and 21 ( upon proof of expenditures for purposes set forth in the budget, will be paid by the City Clerk-Comptroller. 22 23 ; � _z 24 Y 0 R Attest : 25 • 26l C e r -Q�C 27 28 Passed: /V j=, . ,,„2(9 29 Published: ' ' 5j / - (,,I 30 31 32
