1 ORDINANCE NO. t4,1 _( <br /> 2 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 4264 <br /> 3 entitled, AN ORDIANCE submitting to the qualified electors of the <br /> City of Everett a proposition authorizing a special levy upon real <br /> 4 and personal property in the City of Everett in the year 1968, <br /> payable in the year 1969, of approximately 3 .69 mills which shall <br /> 5 be in addition to the fifteen mills and other levies authorized <br /> by Article VII, Section 2 and Amendment 17 of the Constitution <br /> 6 of the State of Washington, for the purpose of raising 8500,000.00 <br /> to be used for the purpose of construction of three fire stations, - <br /> 7 one on Bayside, one near 16th and McDougal, and one at or near <br /> Casino Road and including a Police Department office, relocation <br /> 8 of paint shop on waterfront to a location determined by City <br /> Council, and providing for the furnishing and equipment of build- <br /> 9 ings and structures and for the acquisition of land and, in the <br /> event there are any surplus funds, they shall be used for the con- <br /> 10 struction of additional fire stations; and declaring an emergency <br /> to exist, and directing the County Auditor to hold a special elec- <br /> 11 tion on the 6th day of February, 1968. " <br /> 12 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 13 Section 1: That Section 3 of Ordinance No . 4264 is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> 14 <br /> "That the form of ballot to be used in such election shall <br /> 15 be as follows : <br /> 16 SPECIAL LEVY - CONSTRUCTION OF <br /> FIRE STATIONS AND RELOCATION OF PAINT SHOP <br /> 17 <br /> Shall the City of Everett be authorized to levy in the <br /> 18 year 1968 a tax of approximately 3 .69 mills which shall <br /> be in addition to levies authorized by Article VII, <br /> 19 Section 2 and Amendment 17 of the Constitution of the <br /> State of Washington, for the purpose of raising <br /> 20 ;500,000.00 to be used for the purpose of construction <br /> of three fire stations, one on Bayside, one near <br /> 21 16th and McDougal, and one at or near Casino Road and <br /> including a Police Department office, relocation of <br /> 22 paint shop on waterfront to a location determined by <br /> City Council, and providing for the furnishing and <br /> 23 equipment of buildings and structures and for the <br /> acquisition of land; and, in the event there are any <br /> 24 surplus funds , they shall be used for the construction <br /> of additional fire stations . <br /> 25 <br /> YES ( ) <br /> 26 NO } fif <br /> 27 Section 2 .
