ORDINANCE NO. /// 7 AN ORDINANCE submitting to the qualified electors of the City of Everett a proposition authorizing a special levy upon real and personal property in the City of Everett in the year 1966, payable in the year 1967, of approximately 3, '7 mills which shall be in addition to the fifteen mills and other levies authorized by Article VII, Section 2 and Amendment 17 of the Constitution of the State of Washington, for the purpose of raising $250,000.00 to be used for the purpose of constructing a pedestrian separation on Colby Avenue at the High School, and declaring an emergency to exist, and directing the County Auditor to hold a special election on the 8th day of March, 1966. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: It is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists requiring the submission of the proposition hereinafter set forth and the County Auditor of Snohomish County is hereby requested and directed to hold a special election on the 8th day of March, 1966 in the City of Everett, for the pur- pose of submission of the proposition hereinafter set forth . The City Clerk is hereby directed to deliver a certified copy of this Ordinance to the County Auditor. Section 2 : That there shall be submitted to the qualified electors of the City of Everett at a special election to be held on the 8th day of March, 1966, a proposition author- izing the City to levy a tax upon real and personal property within the City of Everett in the year 1966, payable in the year 1967, of approximately ,7mills which shall be in addition to the fifteen mills and other levies authorized by Article VII, Section 2 as amended by Amendment 17 of the Constitution of the State of Washington for the purpose of raising $250, 000.00 to be used for the purpose of construction of a pedestrian sepa- ration on Colby Avenue at the High School and providing that any excess funds may be used for main and arterial street im- provement in the City as found to be most necessary and advisable by the City Council . Section 3: That the form of ballot to be used in such election shall be as follows : SPECIAL LEVY - PEDESTRIAN SEPARATION ON COLBY AVENUE Shall the City of Everett be authorized to levy in the year 1966 a tax of approximate) mills which shall be in adiition to levies authorized by Article VII, Section 2 and Amendment 17 of the Constitution of the State of Washington, for the purpose of raising approximately $250, 000.00 to be used for the purpose of constructing a pedestrian separation on Colby Avenue at the High School .
