<br /> AN ORDINANCE levying the general taxes for the City of
<br /> Everett for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1965, on all
<br /> taxable property, both real and personal, in said City, subject
<br /> to taxation thereon, for the purpose of raising a portion of the
<br /> revenue to carry on the different departments of said City for
<br /> the ensuing year, as required by the, Charter of the City of
<br /> Everett, and the laws of the State of Washington; prescribing
<br /> and apportioning the same into the different funds of said City
<br /> for the fiscal year, and providing for the collection thereof .
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett duly
<br /> ' and regularly adopted as required by laws, the estimate of the
<br /> amounts required to meet the public expense of said city for the
<br /> E; ensuing year and the amount to be raised by taxation in said City
<br /> I for said ensuing year from sources other than direct taxation,
<br /> , and
<br /> WHEREAS, notice that said City Council tentatively
<br /> completed the budget for the year 1965, -and that a copy of said
<br /> ' budget would be furnished any taxpayer of the City of Everett on
<br /> ', application therefor, and that the City Council of said City
<br /> would meet in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 10:00 A.M.
<br /> on the 5th day of October, 1964, for the purpose of fixing the
<br /> • final budget and determining the tax levy and that any taxpayer
<br /> might appear thereat and be heard for $ -r-against any part of
<br /> said budget, was published in the official newspaper in all respec{ts
<br /> as required by law, and i

<br /> ' WHEREAS, the City Council did on the 5th day of October,;
<br /> 1964, meet in the Council Chambers for said purpose and having
<br /> heard all persons appearing in favor of or against said proposed
<br /> levy, did then and there make, determine and decide the amount of
<br /> taxes to be placed upon the current assessment roll to be the sum
<br /> • of $1,049,030.00.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN:
<br /> Section 1: That there be, and hereby is levied upon
<br /> real and personal property in the City of Everett, subject to
<br /> taxation thereon, a general property tax for municipal purposes
<br /> for the ensuing year commencing on January 1, 1965, in the sum
<br /> of $1,049,030.00, allocated as follows:
<br /> General Current Expense Fund $917,901.00
<br /> Firemen' s Pension Fund 131,129.00
<br /> Total $ 1,049,030.00
<br /> •
<br /> Section 2: That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby
<br /> • directed to certify to the`C- t,,y Assessor a copy of this Ordinance
<br /> in order that the same be extended upon the general assessment
<br /> roll of said county, in the same manner and at the same time as
<br /> the levy for State and County Taxes is extended.
