<br /> OLD BUSINESS The Mayor reported on parking restrictions on Colby from alat to 52nd St.as
<br /> per the hearing of last week. He eaid they,ed met and looked into the irmnediate ,
<br /> COLBY PARKING problems as,m11 as the recommendations made last week. He said they had talked ,11
<br /> with the Telephone Co.and would come up with recommendations next ueek which
<br /> would only encompass cblby from 4Ist to 44th Street.
<br /> SCOTT Mr.Eastman reported they had met‘ath reeidents of the area and also with the ,,,..
<br /> CHIPER Scott company and had much discussion on the problem of the noisy chipper. He said
<br /> Dobler,Bennett was also preeent at the meeting. Scott is making acme changes r.
<br /> right now..d has mre plans in the future for quieting this dmon. They will contact
<br /> the Mayor's o,fice on Feb.10,17 and 24th regarding this. They will also contact
<br /> Mr.Whitley,the resident's representative.
<br /> TAW. Bruce Jones,City Attorney,said there was little legal grounds to stand on es,
<br /> far as denying a license to the operator of the tavern at 631 Broad‘my. He had
<br /> :om lied with all a t ordinances,the building ermite were in order and it
<br /> as'properly soned LI'such a business
<br /> Moved by Councilman Moore,seconded by Councilman Michelson that a letter be mailed
<br /> to Mr.Kappler,to be worded by Mr.Jones,that the Council is unable to deny
<br /> this licenee.
