UPC..rell Call it was <br /> found that all Councilmen were ptesent. <br /> Moved by Councilman Langus,seconded by Councilman Michelson <br /> that the minutes of the meeting held May 6,.30 be APProvea as Printed. <br /> Unanimously carried <br /> HEARING Rearing was held on the assessment roll for local improve- <br /> ment district#638,Elm Street sewers. Mere were no ob- <br /> jections. <br /> Moved by Councilman Moore,seconded by Councilman Dobler - <br /> that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare an Ordinance <br /> cOnfirMing the assessment roll. <br /> Unanimous],carried <br /> COMMUNICATIONS President vognild asked the Clerk to read letters endorsing <br /> sALES TAX ORD/NANCE the prnposed sales tax from the South Everett Commercial <br /> Club signed by Sack R.Olson,President,Everett Jay Cee, <br /> signed by Dennis A.Wintch,President,and Jean Jensen. <br /> Councilman Langus referred to Sean JenSen's letter that <br /> guestioned whether the people who had signed his petitions <br /> were fully informed. He said that he was sure that all of <br /> the people Mao had signed petitions were completely aware <br /> of what the petition said and definitely knew what they <br /> were-,On.g. <br /> , 01.BUSINESS <br /> COUNC/I,BILL,81-70 <br /> SeCon4 Reading: <br /> An Ordinance establishing a sales pr use tax in the City of <br /> Evcretb in accordance with the authority granted under <br /> Section 3,Chapter 94,Laws cf 1970,First ExtraOrdinary <br /> Session. <br /> Couhrilman Dobler said that he could not,ind the One Mil- <br /> llon Dollars that MicheIxon said the City is not con- <br /> sidering. <br /> Councilman Michelson said he was told this is floating <br /> money. <br /> The Mayor said tho City Dudgot Document is absolutely <br /> correct. There was an error of flow-through items which <br /> made a difference between the receipt,and the expenditures. <br /> He said the Million Dollars Councilman Michelson referred <br /> to was on a balance sheet given to the Councilmen just <br /> recently by the Finance Director and there was an error <br /> on thi,s document.
