283 July 10,1974 The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to orMer at 9:30 a.m.in the Conference Room of the City Hall,July 10,1974,President i. Aldcroft presiding and all Councilmen in attendance. PORT OF EVERETT John Belfo.,Manager of the Port of Everett,showed a slide presentation • On the functions of the Port of Everett,both Past and Present and designs for the future. A brief discussion was held on the•progress of•the boat launch facility. Council President Aldcroft thanked Mr.Belford for acquiring this proptrty for this project and asked him to continue the project 115 expediently as possible. .motion the meeting adjourned to the Council Chambers. The regular meeting of the Everett City Council reconvened at 10:20 a.m. in the Council Chambers July 10,1974,with President Aldcroft presiding. Upon roll call it was found that all Councilmen were in attendance. WHEREAS,the Creative Arts Association Annual Waterfront Arts Show will be held in Everett on July 13 and 14,1974,and WHEREAS,the popularity of thie event can tabuset s ort Lo traffic congestion and me for thoeea ::e an addition to the safety of the event by reducing the number of vehicles in the area, NOW,THEREFORE,HE IT RESOLVED BY T.CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT that it provide a special free bus to serve the Creative Arts Association Annual Waterfront ArMs Show from the downtown bus stop,for eight hours each day,July 13 and 14,1974;as the City's contribution to the safety end convenience Of the event and as an indication of its support of the Arts Show,its sponsors,and it5 participants. Roll was called with all councilman voting ye..mmert Cnnuci.au a,..nrnf'and'Sicker. Motion carried Councilman Lances was excused at this time. BID CALL Moved by Councilman Rucker,seconded by Councilman Einch to approve plans and call for bids for 41st Street to Smith Avenue Interconnect. Bids to be received no later than 2:00 p.m.,August 1,1974.
