• <br /> 291 • , <br /> • <br /> • <br /> •• <br /> July 17,1974 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at • <br /> 830 a.m.,in the Conference Room of-the Everett City Hall,July 17,1974, ' • <br /> with President Aldcroft presiding and all Councilmen in attendance. <br /> COMIC.BILL#344-74 <br /> • <br /> • <br /> mayne gine.,of the Engineering Department,told the Council this propoaed <br /> ordinance regulating sewage disposal•systems,had been presented to update ' • <br /> the previous ordinance inasmuch as the City has a contract with the Health. , <br /> District,who,by law,is the inspecting anregulating agency on septic • <br /> tanks. The.who, <br /> are different handlthe ones in the former ordinance, <br /> so this will bring it up to comply with their rules. <br /> • <br /> Leo Moser,of the Health Department,said the main difference in their regu- <br /> lations add the City at present is that ae of January 1,1971,all lots • <br /> had to have 12,500 square footage in order to hook up to a septic <br /> There was also a state law that stipulated the person would have to con- <br /> nect to a sewer line within two years after conatruction of their building • <br /> if one was installed within 200 feet of their property. Councilman Ebert <br /> suggested that before the Council Bill was presented for final reading at <br /> the regular session,Section 1B,be amended to comply with the state law • <br /> taking out the four year permit stipulation.
