After being f I <br /> narn in by the Clerk,they were presented their badges' .altor...re. <br /> 11 <br /> COUNCILMEN'S COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Stephenson referred to a letter in the paper written by a <br /> young person who had just received a drivers'license regarding the <br /> lack of speed lindt signs in the City. Mayor Moore pointed out this <br /> was because the maximum speed limit was 25mph unless otherwise Poeted' <br /> President Pope Suggested that the Traffic Engineer answer the letter <br /> and Mayor Moore concurred. <br /> Couricilman Langus said he was in favor'of banning the sale of certain <br /> fireworks.recently authorized by the state legislature. Grant Weed, <br /> from the Attorney's office,said he would research dm matter. <br /> Councilman Aldcroft retmrted there was a Budget Committee meeting <br /> scheduled for TUesday,July 13th at 10:00 a.m. He suggested that ; <br /> public-hearings on the 1983 budget begin on July 28th. 'Phe possibility <br /> of reducing several City taxes will be reviewed.at the July 13th <br /> meeting.
