Upon roll call it <br /> was found.that Mayor Moore a.all Councilmen were in attendance. <br /> minutes of the meeting held August 31,1983,were approved as printed <br /> with the following corrections: Councilman Overstreet felt the intent <br /> of the motion regarding public use of Transit restrooms should be <br /> clarified to show that need at Transit's discretion will be the <br /> criteria,not an emergency. Also,the motion regarding overall <br /> laundry extension should have been to continue the discussion,rather <br /> than table,and the word•Increasel.Ahotld_be Inserted after St in the <br /> ,g;Nses Councilman Gipson.stained from voting on aPProval <br /> MEMORIAL OBSEFSVANCE DAY <br /> .yor Moore asked for Council's concurrence of September 11,1983,as <br /> Memorial Observance Day in memory of Senator Henry M.Jackson. He <br /> said this would be recorded as a•one time only.paid day off and <br /> although there was nothing in....eotive bargaining Agreement.tbat <br /> specifically addresses issues such as this,the City realized that all <br /> employees shared in the loss of Senator Jackson and the meaning of <br /> this day.
