Upon roll call it wee found that all Councilmen were in attendance eXeept Councilmen Gipaon and Lang.,who were excused. Mayor Moore was also excused. Councilman Overetreet reported briefly On a National League of Cities Energy,Envirorment and Natural Resource.Steering Committee meeting he attended in Washington,DC on May Ilth and 12th. 400010 he also had diecuesed some legisletiOn regarding Cablevision and anti-trust with some of the congressmen. He then introduced Ed Hansen,Chairman of the Everett Golf Charities Executive Committee,in corMection with a PGA Tournament tote held in the City 680608000, He pointed out the Committee had a request in for 810:000 from the hotel-motel tax,which had been reviewed by the Finance and Budget Committee. However, there were some • questions they had at that time. He said since that time a letter had been written to the Committee which he felt explained most of these questions. Councilman Overstreet said the next Budget meeting would be held on June dth. with a recommendation going to Council on the Ilth and asked if this would be a problem to the Committee and Mr. Menton replied this 9muld be eatiefactory to the Committee and unless Chef had questions they would dispense with the presentation today. CITIZEN COMMENTS Ere,. MeBinlaY, Of 7610 Tyee Hoed, expressed support of the resolution under Item 4 on the agenda regarding pornography and moral nuisances, and asked the city to take the leadership in regulating this,setting high standards.
