A28 October 25,1989 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order <br /> at BOO a.m., October 25, 1989 in the Council chambers of the <br /> Everett City Hall,President Niva presiding. Upon roll call it was <br /> found that Mayor Moore and all councilmembers were present except <br /> Councilmember Diamond who was excused. <br /> Minutes of the meeting held October 18, 1989 were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Moore introduced Marilyn Abel, Administrative Assistant to <br /> Everett Community College President, who is serving as Honorary <br /> Mayor for the Day. <br /> PROCLAMATIONS <br /> nr.,Mc=e and Mayor Abel proclaimed November, 1989, as <br /> ':5'TIZTeNoavedmbeorn37198VTE,:::ttp%cml=27.1:::'Week.""b" <br /> CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION <br /> Honorary Mayor Abel presented Mayor Moore a Certificate of <br /> Appreciation on behalf of Everett Community College, for his <br /> outstanding leadership and support. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember Overstreet reported on an Intergovernmental Relations <br /> conference regarding the change in the type and number of arrests, <br /> the impacts on the jail systems due to these changes and also the <br /> significant financing impacts on local governmental entities these <br /> changes are causing. Local governments need to be cognizant of <br /> future financial impacts and these factors should be reviewed in the <br /> ongoing City budget process. <br /> Councilmember Morrow commented on the Puget Sound Council of <br /> The <br /> t'gg-dl:tinwt::grm val.P11 held She <br /> assembly. <br /> PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br /> President Wive announced the following changes in today's amend.. <br /> • Item 05,consultant contract for demolition,will be deleted. <br /> Item 618, the public hearing an the reconsideration of <br /> vacation of McDougall Avenue will be rescheduled for November <br /> 1,1989 Council Meeting. <br /> Item 626,CB 8910-102,LID 731 formation,will be deleted. <br />
