Upon roll <br /> Councilman Diamond <br /> it was <br /> found that all councilmen were <br /> present, except <br /> who was excused. <br /> The minutes of the June 27,1990 meeting were approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR'S GUEST <br /> Mayor Kinch introduced Maria Burgess, a student from Holy Cross <br /> School interested in pursuing a career in politics, as his guest for <br /> the day. Maria told of her experience as a participant in the <br /> welcoming committee at the White House during President Gorbachev's <br /> visit. <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Jim Shields, Parks Department, extended a formal invibmtion to Island <br /> all <br /> the c ncilmembers to attend the opening ceremony o <br /> Days,July 5th at 3:30 p.m. <br /> Mayor Kinch hated that there were 900 people who visited City Hall <br /> at the Mall aurine the first week. <br /> EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH <br /> Paul Roberts, Planning Department, recognizeas d Allan Biffen as <br /> Employee f the Month.
