Upon roll call it was <br /> found that all councilmen were present. <br /> L The minutes of the July 3,1990 meeting were approved as printed. <br /> COUT4KNTS <br /> weOncd"rnniew'rtohre"pr:gtgetd ergs aftirelgkewnn:."'en testing <br /> he <br /> Councilmen Anderson and Diamond acknowledged the good job that the <br /> Parks Department had done with the opening of Jetty Island Days and <br /> dedication of new facilities. <br /> PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br /> President Pope indicated that he had received two requests for <br /> temporary road closures: Linden Street for Grandview Homes' annual <br /> community ceremony; and 24th Street for vacation Bible School of <br /> Trinity Lutheran Church. <br /> r '' Moved by Councilman Gipson, seconded by Councilman Morrow to <br /> authorize the temporary road closure of Linden Street in front of <br /> the community recreation center of Grandview Homes between the hours <br /> of noon and 5:00 p.m.on July 20.1990. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting Yes. <br /> I ,• Notion carried. <br /> Moved by Councilman Gipson, seconded by Councilman Anderson to <br /> authorize the temporary road closure of 24th Street for one block <br /> between Oakes and Lombard from 9:00 a.m.to 12:00 noon on August 3, <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes. . <br /> , , . Motion carried. <br /> Councilmembers and Mayor Winch discdssed the possibility of <br /> processing temporary street or road closures for celebrations by the <br /> , administration instead of going to Council.
