He stated 5 people were treated at <br /> Providence Hospital, 11 treated at General Hospital and ever 10 <br /> complaints were received. He will be working on additional <br /> legislation to curtain fireworks in the City. <br />) 01', t' Councilman Gipson introduced a proposed ordinance for first reading <br /> which would establish a volunteer Seniors Against Crime Unit which <br /> '',''01.1 ' would be a component of the Everett Police Department. The unit <br /> will offer such services as home security surveys, operation <br /> 1 1101 identification education in consumer and fraud protection, victim <br /> advocacy and moral support. The ordinance provides meaningful <br /> opportunities for senior volunteers to utilize their talents,time, <br /> and concerns by assisting other seniors. <br /> Councilman Gipson asked Bruce Jones, City Attorney, to review the <br /> quasi-judicial status of Councilmembers in the appeal process. Mr. <br /> Jones said he would provide information on this issue next week at <br /> the Council Meeting.
