49 <br /> January 30,1991 <br /> () <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to <br /> order at 8:30 a.m., January 30, 1991 in the City Council <br /> chambers of the Everett City Hall, President Morrow presiding. <br /> Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Kinch and all councilmen <br /> were present except Councilman Anderson who was excused. <br /> The minutes of the January 23, 1991 meeting were approved as <br /> Printed. <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Kinch recently attended the reorganization meeting of the <br /> Puget Sound 0039011 of Governments and indicated they were <br /> working through many Issues including the direction of the new <br /> agencY. <br /> Many inquiries have been received regarding placing flags and <br /> yellow ribbons in downtown Everett in support of our troops. <br /> City staff will be working along with Neighbor to Neighbor to <br /> accomplish this. <br /> The City will be receiving personal effects from the late <br /> Senator Jackson's office including a bust which will be housed <br /> and dedicated upon the opening of the new library. <br /> Mayor Cinch gave an update of Dave Davis' response to Mr. <br /> Fezzey's, 906 Wetmore parking problem. Several options were <br /> given to Mr. Fezzey, which he declined because he felt the <br /> Community College should be providing more parking. The Mayor <br /> indicated our parking enforcement pertonnel would patrol the <br /> area regularly. <br /> Joe Kessler, founder of the National Senior Citizens' Hall of <br /> Fame was in attendance and Mayor)(inch expressed appreciation <br /> to him for his efforts on behalf of Senior Citizens. <br /> SAFETY AWARD <br /> Dan Lowell, Public Works, told councilmembers that The Pacific <br /> Worhtweat Pollution Control Association has recently recognized <br /> the City's Safety Department and the Wastewater Treatment Plant <br /> Staff by awarding a certificate of achievement for zero lost <br /> 0 <br /> to <br />
