The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called-to <br /> order at 0:30 a.m., February 5, 1992, in the City Council <br /> Chambers of the Everett City Hall, President Gipson presiding. <br /> Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Kinch and all councilmen <br /> were present,Councilman Overstreet will be arriving late. <br /> TM1e minutes,.Of the:.Janua^y 29, i992 Citya Council meeting ere <br /> approved as printed. cou Slmen Gipson nd Antlereon abstained <br /> Prom the vote. <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Ninth introduced Victor KGrobochenko, Deputy Premiere <br /> Minister of the city of Moscow and his delegation. Mementos <br /> were exchanged and Mr. Koxobochenko addressed Council, <br /> extending greetings end emphasizing the importance of Everett's <br /> neighborly-relationship with Moscow. -,He reminded Council.of <br /> the Victory Parade in which Everette Cascade Highi School bend <br /> marched and described children as peace makers. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> C Councilman Pope introduced a resolution honoring.the memory of <br /> Louis J.Moschilli,a longtime Everett engineer. <br /> Moved by Councilman Pope, s onded by Councilman Anderson to <br /> adopt Resolution No.3593 as follows: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT: <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett, representing <br /> the citizens of-the City of Everett, hereby acknowledge and <br /> honor the service of Louis Moschilli who worked for the City of <br /> Everett for twenty years in the traffic engineering department, <br /> retiring as an associate engineer; <br /> WHEREAS, Lou Moschilli's most m reble traits were his sense <br /> of humor, his love for the City,ma <br /> end his love forhis family. <br /> Lou will be missed and remembered by all who knew him; <br /> WHEREAS, Lou,en Everett resident for 30 years will be missed <br /> most for his sense of humor and genuine empathy. He could put <br /> himself in s else's shoes and understand how they were <br /> f_eling and helpn them out. Mr. Moschilli was a member of both <br /> the Everett Eagles Aerie No.13 and Toastmasters and was also a <br /> f <br /> popular emcee at retirement parties and roasts. <br />
