• <br /> 151 <br /> CvApril,29,1992 <br /> The regular meetingof the Everett City Council was called to <br /> order at 8:30 a.m. April 29, 1992, in the'City Council <br /> Chambers of the Everett.City Hall, President Gipson residing. <br /> Upon roll call itwas found that Mayor Kinch and all councilmen <br /> were present. <br /> The minutes of the April 22, 1992 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Kinch called on Dan Lowell,Utilities, to m ke a special <br /> presentation to Jeff Skagen for receiving certifications as <br /> Mater Treatment Plant Operator I and Water Distribution <br /> Manager I. <br /> PROCLAMATIONS <br /> Mayor Kinch made and presented the following proclamations: <br /> May 5, 1992- "National Teacher Day" was presented to <br /> Mike Sells, President of the Everett Education <br /> �'- Association, who thanked the Mayer for recognizing <br /> teachers. <br /> Week of May ' 1992w <br /> MEverett Tourism Week" s <br /> presented to Karen Channell, Everett Area Chamber of <br /> Commerce and Janet Mennie, Director of Snohomish County <br /> Visitor Inforsation Center. <br /> Meekof May ':3,. 1992 "March of Dimes Meek".w <br /> ,presented to Councilman Doug Campbell- who has been <br /> instrumental o <br /> .helping'coordinate the annual 1.1k <br /> America fund raiser. Councilmen Campbell said that the <br /> fund raiser will be May 9th and if anyone is interested <br /> they should contact him for further information. He <br /> urged all to participate. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Last evening Councilman Anderson attended aOm unity forum et <br /> Hawthorne Elementary School addressing "Child Victimization" <br /> organized b N the Office of Neighborhoods and Police <br /> Department. said that the success of the forum was e to <br /> the extra efforts by the Police Department and Office of <br /> Neighborhoods. <br /> C• <br />
