The month of October <br /> was proclaimed Everett Symphony Orchestra Month. Several <br /> members of the Everett Symphony expressed their appreciation by <br /> performing., <br /> October 6, 1992 was proclaimed German-American Day recognizing <br /> the vital role German-Americans have played in the development <br /> of our nation. <br /> C 2ntlf. 1 <br /> gean'theIXTorreCialiOrofft:eadr4.' <br /> Fire Prevention Week will be October -10, 1992. The Mayor <br /> encouraged fire prevention activities at home,work and school. <br /> Crop Walk Hunger Day will be October 4, 1992. Citizens of the <br /> community were encouraged to participate in this special event <br /> for raising funds Sc give a helping hand. <br /> OATH OF OFFICE-POLICE <br /> Acting Police Chief Mike Campbell introduced police Officer <br /> trainees, Watt Myers, John Sparks,and Dan Templemen, who were <br /> given the oath of office by the Deputy City Clerk. <br /> Councilman Anderson said he would be introducing a resolution <br /> next week regarding the Neighborhoods U.S.A.Conference. <br /> He introduced interim Police Chief Mike Campbell who announced <br /> that"Operation Kid,"a police sponsored program,would be held <br /> at the Everett Mall, October 3 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The <br /> program is intended to provide parents a means 10 assure <br />
