113 <br /> November 9,1992 <br /> A special meeting of the Everett City Council was called t0 <br /> order at 8,30 a.m., November 9, 1992, in the City Council <br /> Chambers of the Everett City Hall, President Gipson presiding. <br /> Upon roll call it was Pound that Mayor Kinch and all councilor-n <br /> were present. <br /> Councilman Pope led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Kinch proclaimed the week of November 15-21 ^Aerican <br /> Education week^ and presented the proclamation to Shirley <br /> Vandermeer and Carolyn Meagher representatives from the Everett <br /> School District. <br /> • <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Several c ncllmembers complimented the Finance staff on the <br /> budget document. <br /> Moved.by Councilman rower, seconded-It Councilman overetreet to <br /> Cnominate President Gipson as Councilchairman Par 1993. <br /> Councilman Pope and Councilman Anderson expressed that this is <br /> dewally done at the night meeting and requested that action be <br /> layed until then. <br /> Councilman w attended the rail plan meeting at Northgate <br /> last week ana related that their main concern dealt with the <br /> rail system routing from Northgate to SR . <br /> Councilman Pope announced that he would he out of town the rest <br /> of the'week attending a meeting to finalize 1993 convention <br /> plans. <br /> Councilman Diamond announced that there w111 be a Budget <br /> Hearing date change as two councilmembers will be excused from <br /> theDecember3rd meeting. <br /> ATTORNEY'S COMMENTS <br /> City Attorney Nike weight requested an executive session Cr a <br /> legal Lssue and a personnel matter. <br />
