February 23,2000 <br /> The regular meting of the Enemy City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> m.,February 23,2000 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Campbell presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Hansen <br /> and Councilmembers Anderson,Simpson,Warnock,Gipson,Campbell,Pope <br /> and Overstreet were present. <br /> Councilmember Warrak led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of Me February 9,2000 and February 16,2000 City Council <br /> meetings were approved as printed.Councilmember Overstreet abstained from <br /> the vote on the February 16,200D minutes. <br /> MAYOR <br /> APPOINTMENT <br /> Mayor Hansen requested the City Council's concurrence with Ne reappoinunem <br /> of Drew Nielsen to the Tree Committee. <br /> Moved by Councibsember Warnock, seconded by Counnilmember <br /> Overstreet to concur with the reappointment of Drew Nielsen to the Tree <br /> Committee,Position p6,for a six year term through December 31,2005. <br /> Roll was called with all councihmmbers voting yes. <br /> Motion rattled, <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Councilmember Gipson reported that he had received several complains <br /> regarding empty alcohol bottles and syringes in Ne vicinity of Ne Library.He <br /> questioned whether the area could be designated a drug-free zone. <br />
