March 15,3000 <br /> The regular meeting of die Everett City Council was called to order at 7:00 <br /> p.m.,March 15,2000 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Campbell presiding.Upon roll call it was f0urtl that Mayor Hensen <br /> and Couocilmembers Myerson,Simpson,Warnock,Campbell,Pope and <br /> Overstreet were present.Councilnember Gipson was excused. <br /> C0uncilmemher Simpson lad the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the Much 8.2000 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> primed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Hansen reported that he attended a variety of meetings while he was in <br /> Washington,DC,and that it teas nice to be back. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Ccuncihmember Overstreet stated that he toured the Reistertown Metro Child <br /> Care Center in Baltimore.He reported that the combined sewer overflow bill, <br /> w in Congress,should be passed soon and will provide several million dollars <br /> for CSO projects. <br /> Cauncilmember Pope remarked that he attended meetings regrading rail <br /> impacts,intelligent tramporution,transit quality and seaport financing while in <br /> Washington,DC. <br /> Councihoemhm Simpson stated that he was glad to see his colleagues back. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Aileen Langham,2630 Grand Avenue,spoke regarding the California Street <br /> Overpass and Maggie's Park. <br />
