April 5,2000 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,April 5,2000 in the City Council Chambers of the Everen City Nall, <br /> Vice President Simpson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Hansen and Cmmci!members Anderson,Simpson.Warnock,and Gipson were <br /> present.Councilmembers Campbell,Pope and Overstreet were excused. <br /> Councilmember Anderson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the March 29,2000 City Council meeting were approval es <br /> primed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Hansen proclaimed April 5,2000 as"Arbor Day'in the City of Everett <br /> and urged all citizens to support efforts to plant and cue for our trees and <br /> woodlands and to support our City's community forestry program. <br /> He presented the proclamation to Libbie Soden,Parks Department,and thanked <br /> the Park staff for the great job that they do. <br /> Mayor Hansen reported that he Crew the first pitch for opening day of the <br /> Everett Little League Baseball season on Saturday. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Councilmembera Anderson,Gibson and Simpson commended the Park <br /> Department staff for the work they do. <br /> Councilmember Simpson announced that there will be a memorial tree planting <br /> for Bill Hathaway at 4:50 p.m.,April 6,2000 at Langur Park. <br /> Da <br />
