May 10,2000 <br /> • The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> m.,May 10,2000,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Campbell presiding.Upon roll call f was found that Mayor Hansen. <br /> Councilmembers Anderson,Simpson,Warnock,(Epson,Campbell,Pope and <br /> Overstreet were preset. <br /> Councilmember Warnock led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the May 3,2000 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed.Councihaember Overstreet abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Hansen proclaimed May 1l,2000 as'Everett Elks Youth Recognition <br /> Day." <br /> REPORT <br /> Mayor Hansen reported that he had met with Snohomish County officials to <br /> discuss on going issues related to 00 County's space plarming;met with the <br /> Parks Board to discuss Master Flaming;and will be in Washington D.C. <br /> Sunday and Monday attending the Police Off Memorial Ceremony. <br />• COUNCIL <br /> Councilmember Anderson complimented Mayor Hansen on his presentation at <br /> the public hearing Thursday evening regarding"Save Our County Seat' He <br /> spoke in Nippon of helping the County with their space needs. <br /> Councihrember Gipson reported that the lease for the Children's Museum will <br /> soon he up and they are looking for a new facility.He stated that he hoped the <br /> City Council could be instrumental in helping them find a new place in the <br /> downtown area.He reported Out he attended the grand opening of the South <br /> 184 <br />
