Augusta,2000 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,August 23,2000 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Campbell presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Hansen <br /> and Counciltttembers Anderson.Simpson,Warnock.Gipson,Campbell,Pope <br /> and Overstreet were present. <br /> City Attorney Salve led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August t6,2000 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> minted. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Hansen announced that the Mayors Anal Library Reading Awards <br /> will be presented on Thursday.He reported that he attended an exit interview <br /> whh the State Auditor earlier in the week and that it was•very clean audit. <br /> The Auditor mentioned that the City of Everest is in a class by itself among <br /> cities in Washington State in regard to audit compliance.Mayor Hansen stated <br /> that he will be unable to attend next week's City Council meeting. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Cnnncilmember Gipson repotted that he attended the press conference for We <br /> filming of the Fugitive.He requested that councilmembers and members of the <br /> Shoreline Committee be allowed to visit the proposed lifestyle entertainment <br /> center sites before the item coma before the City Council. <br /> Councilmember Pope suggested Mat agenda item d2,Wowing Officer Christina <br /> Hughes to purchase retired K-9(police dog)Officer Cigao,be considered at this <br /> AGREEMENT—PURCHASE OF POLICE DOG <br /> Moved by Counellmember Anderton,seconded by Couarllmember Pope to <br /> authorize the Mayor to sign an agreement with Everett Police Officer <br />
