September 20,2000 <br /> The regular mating of the Everett City Council was called to order at 7:00 <br /> p.m.,September 20.2000 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Campbell presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Hansen and Covncihrembers Simpson,Warnock,Gipson,Campbell.Pope and <br /> Overstreet were meant.Coune0member Anderson was excused. <br /> Couneilmember Simpson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the September 13,2000 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> REPORT <br /> Bud Wessman,Code Compliance Director.gave a brief report regarding the <br /> illegal clearing of a parcel of land located on da Avenue South in Lowell.He <br /> Mated that City sniff inspected the property and met with the owner.The parcel <br /> as cleared without permits being issued. Violations will be issued to the <br /> property owner later this week. <br /> REPORT <br /> Dan Mathias,Utilities.presented an update on stormwater and Endangered <br /> Species Act issue.He stated that the City is already implementing most of the <br /> 14 elements of the Tri-County atormwater proposal.The City of Everett mil be <br /> required to comply with eau requiremeao in the fume which will increase the <br /> cost of doing business,a redevelopment requirement and a catch basin <br /> maintenance requirement. <br /> Mayor Hansen commented that the Cities and Towns Dinner will be held on <br /> Thursday evening.He stated that he will be anetdiag the Carad a Conference <br /> on Transit Oriented Development in Eugene.Oregon on Tuesday. <br />
