• <br /> October 11,2000 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,October 11,2000 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Campbell presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Hansen <br /> and Councilmembers Anderson,Simpson,Warnock,Gipson,Campbell,Pope <br /> and Overstreet were present. <br /> Ccuocilmember Warnock 1.the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 4,2000 City Council mating were approved as <br /> printed.CouscOmember Pope abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Hansen announced that the Everett Port Commission has agreed to a <br /> joint publk meeting with the City County to discuss various Pon projects <br /> including the California Street Overmossing. <br /> REPORT-SHORELINE COMMITTEE <br /> The Mayor introduced Carl Gipson,former cougcilmemba and Chair of the <br /> Shoreline Committee,who gave an overview of the two years of work <br /> completed by the 21-member cidses's committee.He spoke regarding the need <br /> for the livnboards at the Pon of Everett to be treated the same as other City <br /> residents:the need for physical access to the City's shoreline;and the <br /> committee's vote regarding their recommendadom for the Simpson property. <br /> Paul Roberts,Planning,stated that the Planning Commission will cooclnde its <br /> review of the Shoreline Committee's recommendations before the end of the <br /> year. <br /> Counriloember Warnock request.updates of the Deparment of Ecology's <br /> questions regarding ESA issues.Paul Roberts stated that he would provide the <br /> councihuembera a copy of the shoreline rule. <br />
