Apri125,2001 <br /> The regular mating of the Everett City Council was called to Coder at 8:30 am., <br /> April 25,2001,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall,Pre0idem <br /> Simpson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Hansen and <br /> Councilmemben Anderson,Simpson,Gipson,Campbell,Pope and Overstreet <br /> were present.Cauncihamber Warnock was excused. <br /> Polis Chief Scharf led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the April 18,2001 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed.Councilor®bei Pope abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> OATS <br /> Chief Scharf introduced lames T.Collier,a new police officer. <br /> Moved by Couacilmember Gipson,seconded by Couacilmember Overstreet • <br /> to concur with the appointment of dames T.Collier as police officer. <br /> Roll was called with all counulmembers voting yes except Councilmember <br /> Warnock who was excused. <br /> Malian carried. <br /> The Deputy City Clerk administered his oath of orifice. <br /> Mayor Hansen reminded everyone of the Heorie Webber Art Reception an <br /> Thursday evening and the Firefighters Retirement Dinner on Friday evening. <br /> CODNCF <br /> Councilormber Gipson reported that he had the opportunity to introduce Floyd <br /> Coclaan,a former member of the Klu Klux Klan,who spoke on"hate crimes"for <br /> 148 <br />
