N..I2,2001 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 am., <br /> May 2,2001 in the City Council Clambers of the Everett City Hall,Prmident <br /> Simpson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Nausea and <br /> Cowcilmenbers Anderton, Simpson, Warnock, CA'psor, Campbell, au. <br /> Overstreet were present.Councilmember Pope was excused. <br /> Tribune reporter,Hannah Peterson,led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the April 25,2001 City Council meeting were approved a <br /> printed.Councihnembar Warnock abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor H enproclaimed the week of May 6 through May 12,2001 as"Everett <br /> Elks Youth Week". He presented the proclamation to.11 Benson and Leo <br /> Petting. <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Hansen proclaimed the month of May,2001 as"Olde Americans'Month" <br /> and the week of May 14 through May 18,2001 as'Senior Center Week".Jim <br /> Rowell accept.the proclamation on behalf of the senior volunteers. <br /> GIFT TO CITY—NORTH EVEREff LIONS <br /> Murray Gordon gave a brief history of the North Everett Lions'Chrb and the <br /> many donations that they have made to the City,an aid can the jaws of life,and a <br /> computer for fire prevention education.Due to the efforts of Dave DeMareo, <br /> Pta;the No.Ever.Lions have now agreed to donate$65,000 to the Phe <br /> Depar0aot for the purchase of four thermal imaging cameras and monitoring <br /> equipment.He mnnduced Roy Norton and Jim Oas who presented the check to <br /> the Mayor and Council President Simpson. <br />
