Simpson pr.iding Upon roll call it was found that Con cilmmbers Anderson, Simpson,Warnock,Campbell,and Pope were present. Mayor Hansen.d Counci.embers Gipson a.Ovw.e.were excused. Wan..Hums,F.Marshal,led the Pledge of Allegiance. The Mindea of the May 30,2001 City Co.cil meeting were approved as printed. City Attorney Sob.requested..ecutive session regarding a potential litigation mtter.The sessiett should last approximately five minutes with no anticipated announcement to thllow. EXECUTIVE SESSION The meeting recessed for an executive session and reconvened_ PRESIDENT SHORELINE MASTER PLAN Paul Mier.,Planning,anted that concerns have been raised regarding the lack of conservation protections in the Shoreline Master Plan which was recently appro..He displayed a map shouting the degree of conservation designations that exist in the plan under which the City is presently tpenlit&He remarked that the Plan which the City Council recently approved will not go into effect until it has been approved by the Paper..of Ecology but that it also has considerable conservancy deshmation.He poi.ed out where the conservancy and consuwancy recreation designations are located.He stated that there is also a cross-hatch d.ignation which covers all of the City's shorelines. Any development that would Sc proposed within yen cross-hetch designation must undergo an evaluation requiring a biological ass.sment.d if nevi,dry,a habitat conservation plan.
