Mayor Hansen.d <br /> Counci.embers Gipson a.Ovw.e.were excused. <br /> Wan..Hums,F.Marshal,led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The Mindea of the May 30,2001 City Co.cil meeting were approved as printed. <br /> City Attorney Sob.requested..ecutive session regarding a potential litigation <br /> mtter.The sessiett should last approximately five minutes with no anticipated <br /> announcement to thllow. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> The meeting recessed for an executive session and reconvened_ <br /> PRESIDENT <br /> SHORELINE MASTER PLAN <br /> Paul Mier.,Planning,anted that concerns have been raised regarding the lack of <br /> conservation protections in the Shoreline Master Plan which was recently <br /> appro..He displayed a map shouting the degree of conservation designations <br /> that exist in the plan under which the City is presently tpenlit&He remarked <br /> that the Plan which the City Council recently approved will not go into effect until <br /> it has been approved by the Paper..of Ecology but that it also has <br /> considerable conservancy deshmation.He poi.ed out where the conservancy and <br /> consuwancy recreation designations are located.He stated that there is also a <br /> cross-hatch d.ignation which covers all of the City's shorelines. Any <br /> development that would Sc proposed within yen cross-hetch designation must <br /> undergo an evaluation requiring a biological ass.sment.d if nevi,dry,a habitat <br /> conservation plan. <br />
