Indy 2001 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 800 am., <br /> July ll,2001 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall,President <br /> Simpson presiding. Upon mil call it was found Ih.!Mayor Hansen and <br /> Councihnembers Anderson, Simpson, Wanock, Gipson, Campbell, and <br /> Overstreet were pr.ent CounciMember Pope was excused. <br /> President Simpson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 5,2001 City Council meeting were approved as printed. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Counoilmember Warnock reminded everyone that the"Music in the Perks"series <br /> started an Sunday. <br /> Caecilmemg&Gipson expressed.ncem regarding inmeese0 buffic on <br /> residential streets due to the closure of the SR 529 bridge between Everett and <br /> Marysville.Zany Crawford,Public Works,stated that there have been a number <br /> of meetings with the neighborhoods and.ordinations with Me State to make sure <br /> that there are minimal impacts.Ile remarked that there will be one lane of traffic <br /> open at all times. <br /> The councilmembers and Mayen Hansen commended Clair Olivers for his service <br /> to the City and wished him well in his new position with the Snohomish County <br /> Public Utility District. <br /> Councitmelbm Gipson remmked that he would not be in attendance at the July <br /> 18,2001 City Council meeting. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Soine requested an executive session regrading two potential <br /> litigationmatters and a real estate matter following the meeting The session is <br /> expected to last 20 mit..with no anticipated announcement to <br /> follow. <br />
