July 18,2001 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m, <br /> only 18,2001 in the City Council Chambas of the Everett City Hall,President <br /> Simpson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Hansen <br /> Control/members Anderson.Sbnpaom Warnock,Campbell,Pope and Overstreet <br /> were present.Councilmember Gipson was excused. <br /> Mayor Hansen led the Pledge ofAllerdance. <br /> The minutes of the July I1,2001 City Commit meeting were approved as pbwL <br /> Councilmember Pope abstained from the vox. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Hensen repotted that he attoadod the ribbon cutting for the Phil Johnson <br /> Hall Fields. He also attended a diversity meeting with representatives from <br /> various minority and mimic groups Motu the City of Everett. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Councilmember Pope slated that he attended aworkshop sponsored by the Federal <br /> Highway Administration where they discussed funding for road projects. He <br /> remarked that his trip will be reimbursed by the Highway Administration. <br /> PRESIDENT <br /> President Simpson commented that he participated n a fimctiun sponsored by the <br /> American Cancer Association.He stated that they an:sponsoring a"Relay for <br /> Life"on July 27 and 28,2001 at Evergreen Middle School and encouraged the <br /> conncihnemhaa to attend. <br /> 285 <br />
