August 15,2001 <br /> The rogular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m., <br /> August 15,2001 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall,President <br /> Simpson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Hansen and <br /> Ccuncihoembms Simpson,Warnock,Gipson,Campbell,Pope,and Overalaet <br /> wee present.Councihoember Anderson was excused. <br /> Councilmernber Warnock led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 8,2001 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Havaev introduced Captain Kim Bole,Commanding Officer of Naval <br /> Station Everett,who thanked the greater Everett community for the support and <br /> cooperation that they have extended to the Naval Station,the homepmted ships, <br /> the sailors and then families during the last four and one half years.He remarked <br /> that he will be leaving his command in Everest to become commending officer of <br /> the Naval ROTC at the University of Washington. <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Hansen proclaimed August 17,2001 as Captain Kim Bunke 0000. He <br /> presented the proclamation to Captain Bole. <br /> The councilmembers offered their thanker to Captain Bunke for his service and <br /> bard work in the City of Everett. <br /> APPOINTMENT—{ESTORICAL COMMISSION <br /> Mayor Hansen requested the City Council's concurrence regarding the <br /> appointment ofAlisoun lamb to the Historical Commissi <br /> Moved by Councilmember Warnock, seconded by Couneilmember <br /> Overstreet to concur with the appointment of Alis0un Lamb to the Alternate <br />
