September 5,2001 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 am., <br /> September 5,2001 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hell,Vice <br /> President Anderson presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Hansen, <br /> Councihnembers Anderson,Warnock,Gipson Campbell,Pope and Overstreet <br /> were present.Councihember Simpson was excused. <br /> Cooncilmember Campbell led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 29,2001 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed.Councihnember Campbell abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> REPORT—HUH RIDERSHIP PROGRAM <br /> Ken Housden,Transportation Services,reported thy the SR 529 project is now <br /> complete and the Everett Transit fere he program will end today.During the <br /> program Were was a 29%increase in riders which made a substantial impact in <br /> taking cars off We highways. <br /> REPORT—TRANSIT ROUTE CHANGES <br /> Tom Hingson,Transportation Services,repotted on potential route changes <br /> scheduled for February.Many routes are being streamlined and citizen input is <br /> being requested regarding these proposed changes. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Councihnanber Campbell reminded everyone that schools are back in salmon and <br /> to watch your sped in the school zones. <br /> Councilmembao Warnock repotted that he had received a draft of the Snohomish <br /> Basin Salmon Recovery Forum's Plan and they have asked for input. He <br /> squealed that the Council receive the comments that will be drafted by City staff <br /> in response.Coancilmember°versbea was in agreement. <br /> Councilmember Gipson requested an update regarding the Safeway project. <br /> 384 <br />
