December IC 2001 A special meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 a.m., (Member 12,2001 in the Everett Performing Arts Center,2710 Wetmore Avenue,President Simpson presidlag.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Hansen and Coancitmembers Anderson,Simpson,Warnock,Gipson,Campbell, Pope,and Overstreet were present. Councimember Anderson led the Pledge of Allegiance. The minuses of the December 3,2001 City Council meetig were approved as printed.Councilmember Gipson abstained from the vote. COUNCIL. Rochelle Sterman,Sam's Mans Wear,2014 Hewitt,stated that even though she and her husband,Larry,were opposed to the location of the special events center because it directly impacted their property,they were treated with great empathy,kindness and concern by the City.City staff worked ddigemly to help them Tera a new location and to make their move,when it occurs,as seamless and smooth as possible.She remarked that the City has gone above and beyond the call of duty,and they are moat appreciative. Councitmember Warnock reported that he attended the C10mral Commission's Christmas meeting and thanked the Parks staff foe their support of the Commission. Councamember Overstreet stated that he attended the Snohomish Health District's board meeting. Dr.Heins,Executive Director,commented on the final report regarding the capacity of health emergency reaction in the State of Washington. They also discussed a disaster preparation and response plan compiled by the Snohomish Health District.
