March 14,2002 <br /> A special meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m..March 14,2002 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall.Vice President Campbell presiding.Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Hansen,Council Members Olson,Gipson,Campbell,Pope and <br /> Overstreet were present Council Members Anderson and Hatloe were <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the March S,2002 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MA_VOR <br /> REAPPOINTMENT—HISTORICAL COMMISSION <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Overstreet to concur with the reappointment of Mark Garcia to <br /> Position No.1,Historical Commission,for the remainder of its six. <br /> year term,ending December 31,2007. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Anderson and Hatice who were excused. <br /> Motion carded. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Members Overstreet and Pope reported on their attendance at <br /> the National League of Cities Conference in Washington,DC. <br /> Vice President Campbell announced that the City has been awarded a <br /> grant in the amount of$1.4 million from the Federal Transit Administration <br /> for tour new transit buses. <br /> 72 <br />
