May 22,2002 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,May 22,2002,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Anderson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Hansen and Council Members Anderson, Olson, Hattie, Gipson. <br /> Campbell,Pope and Overstreet were present. <br /> Council Member Pope led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the May 15,2002 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed <br /> CRY ATTORNEY <br /> Assistant City Attomey Iles requested an executive session regarding a <br /> real estate matter. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Lynn Richter,2610 110•Street SE,spoke on behalf of the Veterans of <br /> Foreign Wars.She proposed an inscribed brick veterans walk around the <br /> Special Events Center and suggested that the arena be named"Veterans <br /> Memorial Arena: <br /> CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS <br /> Moved by Council Member Overstreet,seconded by Council Member <br /> Olson to approve the following consent agenda items: <br /> RESOLUTION-CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution Ne.5193 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br /> 93,791,657.97 for the period May 4,2002 through May 10,2002. <br /> 154 <br />
