August 14,2002 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,August 14,2002 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Hake presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Anderson;Councilmembers Krell,Olson,Hatloe,Gipson,Campbell,and <br /> Pope were present.Council Member Overstreet was excused. <br /> Council Member Campbell led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 7,2002 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Anderson repelled that the USS Shoup will arrive in Everett with <br /> the post shakedown to begin during September. It is estimated that <br /> approximately-$6.2 mlllkm will be brought into the local economy between <br /> September and the end of the year. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nation to approve the following consent agenda items: <br /> RESOLUTION-CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No.5230 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br /> 54,166,874.60 for the period July 27,2002 through August 2,2002. <br /> 2'14 <br />
