August 21,2002 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 7:00 <br /> p.m.,August 21.2002,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Halloe presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Anderson and Council Members Krell,Olson,Hatoe,Campbell,and <br /> Overstreet were present Council Members Gipson and Pope were <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Overstreet led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 14,2002 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as prirded.Council Member Overstreet abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Anderson read a proclamation welcoming the USS David M.Shoup <br /> and its crew to the City of Everett The proclamation will be presented to <br /> the USS Shoup's captain at the Aquasoos baseball game on August 26, <br /> 2002. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY • <br /> City Attorney Soine requested an executive session regarding a litigation <br /> matter. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Tammy Lehtonen,Taco Del Mar,1723 Hewitt Avenue,expressed concem <br /> regarding the lack of wheelchair access to the restaurant during the Hewitt <br /> Avenue Sewer Construction proved and the"road closed"signs which are <br /> discouraging patrons from coming to the restaurant <br /> • <br /> 282 <br />
