October 2.2002 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> m..October 2,2002,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Fleece presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Anderson and Council Members Krell,Olson,Hallos,Gipson,Campbell, <br /> and Overstreet were present.Council Member Pope was excused. <br /> Council Member Overstreet led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the September 25,2002 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed.Council Members Krell and Hatloe abstained from <br /> the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Anderson introduced Keith Thompson end Ross Ferraro who are <br /> attending the National League of Cities Public Safety Crime Prevention <br /> Steering Committee being held in Everett this week. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson welcomed the members of the NLC Steering <br /> Committee to the City of Everett. <br /> Council Member Overstreet reported on his attendance at the Combined <br /> Sewer Overflow executive board meeting in Chicago. <br /> REPORT—SPECIAL EVENTS CENTER <br /> Fred Safstmm,Executive Director,Public Facilities District,gave an <br /> update on the progress of the Special Events Center. <br /> Council Member Campbell welcomed the NLC committee members and <br /> commended Mayor Anderson and Council Director Deb Williams for their <br /> efforts to bring the NLC Steering Committee to the City of Everett. <br /> 33t <br />
