April21,2004 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> p.m.,April 21,2004 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> Vice President Gipson presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson;Council Members Krell.Gipson.Campbell,Stonecipher and <br /> Overstreet were present. Council Members Olson and Ha0oe were <br /> excused. <br /> City Attorney lies led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the April 14,2004 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Stephenson proclaimed the month of April,2004 as"Fair Housing <br /> Month..He presented the proclamation to Tim Koss,Community Housing <br /> Resource Board. <br /> YOUTH ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS <br /> Jane Lewis,Parks.introduced the winners of the 2004 Mayor's Youth <br /> Achievement Awards:Gargl Chakraborty,age 17,Cascade High School; <br /> Grant Haines,age 18,Everett High School;Linda Huynh,age 15,Everett <br /> High School;Thea Le,age it.,Everett High School;and Alishia Smith, <br /> age 18,Everett High School. Mayor Stephenson presented them with <br /> their awards. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Krell remarked that she had received information from <br /> the Department of Ecology stating that them will be a comment period <br /> from April 22,2004 through May.2004 regarding the Everett Smelter site. <br /> She encouraged everyone who is interested to get involved. <br /> 126 <br />
