July 2,2004 <br /> A special meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> m.,July 2,2004 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> Vice President Gipson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson;Council Members Krell,Olson,Gipson,Campbell,and <br /> Overstreet were present.Council Members Hare and Stonecipher were <br /> excused. <br /> Tam Moen,Deputy City Clerk,led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the June 25,2004 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed.Council Member Krell abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson wished everyone a happy 4e of July. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Members Campbell and Gipson wished everyone a happy and <br /> sate holiday. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attomey Iles requested that agenda Item no.14,a proposed <br /> resolution finding and designating the area in and around the Asarco <br /> Smelter(Redevelopment Area)as a blighted area under the State <br /> Community Renewal Law;item no.15,a proposed resolution designating <br /> and authorizing the Everett Housing Authorry to act as a community <br /> renewal agency, to prepare a community renewal plan for the <br /> redevelopment area.end to Implement the plan if it Is approved by the <br /> City Council;and item no.18,authorizing the Mayor to sign en agreemett <br /> with the Everett Housing Authority including a contingent funding <br /> agreement for the cleanup and redevelopment of the area In and adjacent <br /> to the former Asamo Smelter(Redevelopment Area);be continued to the <br /> July 3,2004 City Council meeting.He remarked that agenda items no.14 <br /> 205 <br />
