• <br /> August 18,21104 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Coutoil was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,August 18,2004 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,Vice President Gipson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Council Members Krell,Olson,Gipson,Campbell,and Overstreet were <br /> preaent. Mayor Stephenson and Counal Members Hatioe and <br /> Stonecipher were excused. <br /> Council Member Campbell led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 11,2004 City CounGI meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> c�UNCIL <br /> Council Member Overstreet reported on actMties related to Proposition <br /> No.1,to increase the State sales tax for Everett Transit. <br /> Council Member Krell introduced a resolution declaring August 28,2004 <br /> as USS Momsen Day. <br /> RESOLUTION—USS MOMSEN DAV <br /> Moved by Council Member Krell,seconded by Council Member Olson <br /> to adopt Resolution No.5514 declaring Saturday,August 28,2004,as <br /> USS Memssn Day. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Hatloe and Stonecipher who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Pat McClain,Government Affairs,remarked theta delegation from the <br /> City of Everett,the Port of Everett,the business community,and the Navy <br /> League will be traveling to Panama City,Florida,for the commissioning of <br /> the USS Momsen. <br /> 284 <br /> •j <br />
